1. how do you wash a car without water?
our unique 2-in-1 process uses an exclusive polymer compound (polyslick 3™) which lifts the dirt from the surface of the paint and encapsulates it in a lubricating film so that it can be removed without a scratch. all that is left behind is a polymer residue which we remove with a soft cloth to reveal a polished and protected surface.

2. will it scratch my car?
an ecowash is totally scratch free. the products we use have a 15 year history in Europe and have been thoroughly tested. our service is regularly used to clean and protect many luxury cars such as Aston Martin, Mercedes-Benz and Ferrari. the polyslick 3™ polymer in the product encapsulates the dirt and lifts it from the surface of your paint, it is then safely removed with a clean cloth.

3. how long should I allow for an ecowash?
our services vary from 30 mins to over 3 hours - depending on your vehicle and the level of service you require. ask your ecowash mobile operator how long it will take to ecowash your car at the time you book.

4. where can I get an ecowash?
we are totally mobile so we come to you! an ecowash can be done anywhere - in a car park, on the street, at your home or even where you work. simply select “book online” or call 1800 ecowash.

5. what do you need from me when you come out to clean my car?
if a vacuum or carpet shampoo is part of your chosen service, we may just need a power supply, however most of our operators carry their own generators with them - we have everything else covered.

6. i have paint protection, will an ecowash affect it?
an ecowash will actually enhance your paint protection - all our products have been tested with paint protection. ecowash mobile also offer a paint protection service which is perfectly matched to, and enhanced by, the ecowashing process.

7. my car has window tinting, is that ok?
absolutely! our glass treatment is completely window tint friendly.

8. i have noticed some faint residues on my paint and windows. what is it?
it’s only a little polymer residue which can be wiped away with a clean cloth.

9. what if it rains just after my car has been ecowashed?
because an ecowash doesn’t just wash, it also polishes and protects your car, when it rains the water will bead off the surface of your car. just grab a chamois and wipe away the water droplets – your car is protected and still looks great.

10. how often should my car be ecowashed?
depending on how often you use your car, we recommend ecowashing every 3 to 4 weeks. regular ecowashing protects your car and keeps it looking cleaner, longer.

11. do you clean engine bays?
no for 2 reasons. firstly, today's cars are very complicated and we don't recommend spraying water in your engine bay in case your cars electronics are damaged - this should be done by a qualified mechanic. secondly, our service is environmentally friendly so we don't use water. we do offer an engine bay detailing service, simply ask your operator for details.

12. i've noticed that my car has 'feather like' scratches in the paintwork - what causes these?
spraying a car with water only removes some of the superficial dirt, but small particles of dirt remain adjacent to the surface of the paint. rubbing a sponge or a chamois over your paint actually grinds this dirt into your paint - this is what causes "feather scratches".
most cars have feather scratches when they have been cleaned using traditional water washing methods. an ecowash uses an exclusive polymer compound which encapsulates the dirt and lubricates the panel so that we can remove the dirt with our cleaning cloth without scratching. regular ecowashing not only makes any feather scratches less visible, the protective polymer coating applied during the ecowash process actually reduces the damage that dirt, and even traditional water washing, can do to your paint for up to 6 weeks.

13. my car’s just been ecowashed. it is so clean and shiny. what do I do now?
